New publication seeing / vidjeti at Tisch Dance Department of New York University in September 2018

Publication CHOREOGRAPHIC JOURNAL: seeing / vidjeti, by choreographer Marjana Krajač and dramaturg Zee Hartmann, was presented at the Dance Department of Tisch School of the Arts at the New York University on September 26th starting at 10:00 h, following a talk titled The Gesture of Choreographic Text for the BA and the MFA students of the Department.

The Gesture of Choreographic Text is a talk on processes of choreographic activation within the broader perspective of textual gestures and writing investigations introducing the newly published book that aims to open up spaces for thinking about dance as a platform for conceptual phenomena that, in its totality, constitute the work of choreography and its various, expanded, fields of significance.

Published in August 2018, CHOREOGRAPHIC JOURNAL: seeing / vidjeti, by choreographer Marjana Krajac and dramaturg Zee Hartmann, is a collection of essays about the choreographic process, its reflections and intellectual repercussions. Stylistically at the intersection of journaling, theory, pragmatic approaches to the artistic process and self-reflexive critical thinking, this collection of texts points toward a fresh possibility in dance writing by working choreographers.
